WLF team takes on Xerocon
A team from WLF Accounting & Advisory joined over 3,000 people from 19 different countries for professional development, training and a bit of entertainment at the recent Xero Conference in Melbourne. Xerocon is now in its 10th year and one of the largest technology conferences in Australia.
Xero is a cloud based accounting software product, and is one of the fastest growing providers with over 1 million subscribers across 180 countries. CEO and co-founder Rod Drury was quoted as saying that “just as Uber globalised taxis and Amazon globalised retail, Xero has globalised accounting. If we do want the world to be better, we’ve got to get small business trading globally.”
The conference provided the opportunity for our team to stay ahead of the game, interacting with over 70 add-on providers to learn about the software developments that Xero have installed for the coming months. This equips us with the knowledge to advise our clients on the best possible add-on products to efficiently manage their accounts and focus on their ongoing daily business decisions.
An intense two-day schedule made for a busy learning experience, but we also managed to set aside a bit of time for fun. Chase McConnon had a determined attempt at the fastest lap time on the F1 simulator and Partner Paul Lyons took to the airwaves as expert commentator on a 2UE radio program about small business.
If you want to know more about Xero cloud accounting software packages and the range of add-ons contact your WLF Advisor. We are also running a free Xero cloud accounting seminar on Wednesday 15 November, with bookings open on our website from early October.
WLF is a gold level partner with 25 staff members qualified as Xero certified advisors.
