Rebecca Meredith announced as new Partner

Posted on July 1st, 2021 by WLF

The Partnership and all staff congratulate Rebecca Meredith on her promotion to Partner, effective 1 July 2021.

Rebecca grew up locally, graduating from the University of Tasmania in December 2005 before heading to England for a working holiday. On her return to Hobart she joined WLF, then Wise, Lord and Ferguson, starting in the Audit, Assurance and Advisory division in October 2007.

Rebecca quickly felt an affinity for the firm,

“From fairly early on I felt that I’d landed in a firm and in a position that clicked for me, and which came fairly naturally.”

“As I’ve progressed through my career, the diversity of our client work has continued to interest me, and I really enjoy the challenges that come my way.”

“Being an independent Tasmanian firm means our team is exposed to different aspects of the Tasmanian economy, which we experience first-hand. The insight we draw from this gives us a deeper understanding of our client’s business. We work with such a broad range of industries, but regardless of the sector I believe this local understanding and commitment is what really connects us to our clients.”

Away from work, Rebecca has a young family, and feels the family values of WLF align well with her own values.

“I’ve always felt very supported by the Partners – when it came to taking maternity leave, having the flexibility required with a family, and just through life’s ups and downs in general. That values-fit is important for me, and I feel this is a great firm to be a part of.”

We are extremely proud to welcome Rebecca to the Partnership.
