The Prime Minister has announced a $24 million fund to support new projects that contribute to Tasmania’s economy.

The Tasmania jobs and Investment Fund provides grants for projects that generate new, sustainable business growth and jobs.

Applications are open to all industry sectors, and generally eligible activities include the purchase of equipment and machinery, and the construction and fit out of new infrastructure.

To be eligible you must be incorporated, have an ABN and be registered for GST and you must be able to commit to at least $2 for every $1 of grant funding.  Individuals, partnerships and trusts are not eligible, however an incorporated trustee may be eligible to apply on behalf of a trust. Government agencies and bodies (including GBEs) are not eligible.
