Congratulations Nathan, Top of Tasmania

Posted on July 27th, 2022 by WLF

The Partnership is extremely proud to congratulate Nathan Percey on receiving two awards from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) earlier this month.

As a CA firm, all WLF accountants undertake the CA qualification after completing their university degree. The program consists of nine subjects in conjunction with three years of Mentored Practical Experience, providing a comprehensive professional learning qualification.

Nathan was formally recognised by CAANZ for achieving the highest mark in Tasmania for two subjects: Tax (94%) and Financial Accounting and Reporting (96%).

Nathan commenced his accounting career with WLF as an Undergraduate Accountant. He completed a Bachelor of Business (Majoring in Accounting and Finance) while working full time, graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2020.  Now in his seventh year with the firm, Nathan is an integral part of our Business and Personal Advisory division, working with clients across a wide range of sectors to deliver solutions and assist them in meeting their financial goals.

Partner and Head of BPA, Douglas Thomson says the division and entire firm is very proud of Nathan’s success.

“The CA Program is a significant commitment, particularly when balanced with a full-time career working with businesses, not for profit entities and individual clients,” says Douglas.

“Nathan’s success is outstanding, and a testament to his work ethic as well as his technical abilities”.

“As a firm, we know the CA Program is the best way to equip our accountants with technical knowledge and this obviously flows through to benefit our clients. Receiving top marks in Tasmania in two subjects concurrently is something to be celebrated. And it’s wonderful for us as a firm to know we really do have the best of the best on our team.”

Congratulations Nathan!
