Karen Banks

Manager

Business & Personal Advisory

Karen is highly recognised for her expertise in estate taxation, working collaboratively with clients to provide advice and solutions in this important and often sensitive area of business.

Having started her career in the banking and finance sector, Karen then moved to a trustee company where she held executive assistant positions working with the CEO and investment divisions.  She then progressed into financial accounting working closely with the Chief Financial Officer. Whilst continuing her study in accounting part-time Karen then moved into the specialist area of taxation of estates and administration, where she has built a strong reputation for her knowledge and expertise.

After joining WLF in our Business & Personal Advisory team in 2006, Karen continued to grow her professional networks and is regularly sought by law firms for her advisory services in estates including compliance taxation requirements. Over the years she has enjoyed the opportunity to support and mentor younger staff as they grow their own careers.

Karen has a strong commitment to her clients, and is passionate about getting to know their needs, providing tailored advice and helping them achieve their goals. She is known for always putting people at the centre, a trait that applies both professionally and in her personal life.
