Welcome to our new team members!

Posted on February 14th, 2020 by WLF

We are delighted to welcome six new accountants to the WLF Accounting and Advisory team this week through our Graduate and Undergraduate Programs

Ellis Blyth, William Farmilo and Karam Jeong commenced in our Audit, Assurance and Advisory division on Tuesday after recently graduating from the University of Tasmania. They’ve been working closely with Rebecca Meredith this week and will be out and about meeting clients soon.

Our Business and Personal Advisory division has also seen growth, with Chantelle Rose and Stacie Young both joining us through our Graduate Program. Isaac Semmler, who completed year 12 at Hobart College in 2019 and applied through our Undergraduate Accountant Program, has commenced a full-time role with us and will be studying part-time towards his Bachelor of Business (Accounting major).

“We’re very proud to have launched so many professional careers for Tasmanians over the years” says Alicia Leis, WLF HR Partner. “WLF Accounting and Advisory was established in 1890, so that’s almost 130 years of employing Tasmanian graduates.  And we know that this local commitment and knowledge is something our clients really value.”

“Our WLF family is spread right around the world which is great, but we’re also happy that so many of our alumni have chosen to stay in, or return to, Tasmania. In fact many of our current team members have been with us since they began their career. That’s a really lovely environment to welcome new staff into.”

The WLF Graduate Accountant Program for the 2021 intake is open for applications next week and we will be working closely with UTAS to encourage applications from their accounting students.
