IT Support Manager

Job summary

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Support Manager to join our Hobart office full time. You will work in a small team of two (you and the Chief Technology Officer). Reporting directly to the CTO, you will operate and support a range of IT systems and services. You’ll be responsible for resolving IT issues primarily focusing on troubleshooting applications, systems, and network issues. You will be the first line of support for any technical issues logged via our helpdesk.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this position will be the first and primary point of contact for IT support for all users, managed through the IT Helpdesk which services the firm of approximately 90 people.

You will use your significant experience to ensure system and data security is maintained to a high standard, assist in integrating and implementing a range of technical updates, install new IT equipment and software, trouble shoot level 1 and 2 issues, perform basic maintenance to servers, and provide face-to-face and remote IT support. This role will also work closely with the CTO on IT projects and other technology advancements within the firm.


About you / essential requirements

  • Strong knowledge of both Windows desktop and server environments.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, network administration, installation and configuration of software and hardware and Office 365 administration essential.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and promotion of a culture of service excellence and continual improvement within the IT team.
